17-18wks Pregnant and suffering from chronic heartburn,why? & how can i tackle it? Antacids don’t work for me?

Tried Tums and milk and after about ten mins its back again…..the only way it seems to go is when i get sickness but my god it burns my throat when i vomit. The route of most of my sickness is actually the heartburn/acid as it gets that bad it makes me throw up.
