Pilatesgirl asked: im a 28 female, and i keep going to the er and my doc office because i keep getting bad chest pains and shortness of breath..the doctors have checked me for heart problems including heart attack and insist that it has nothing to do with my heart and they all keep saying i have GERD. Can this really cause these symptoms?? Please help if u can and thanks in advance. If u have a question i might be able to answer just let me know.
I also get pains in my arms and im getting sooo depressed and upset because i keep going to the docs and they are rude to me at the er cause i have been there so much

diana d asked: i have asthma and the doctors could not figure out why i was not getting any better in the hospital, well i had pneumonia,and i kept wheezing alot and i had a test done that i wouldnot recommend anyone to have, the test revealed that i had gerd,and i wasnt getting enough air through my windpipe and that was making me wheeze, this problem is getting worse every day, i belch a lot all day every day, i take prilosec otc but it is not helping like it should, i have read that you can have surgery, side effects are, your voice is hoarse, i am willing to give it a try, right now i have burning in mychest, i dont know what i ate this time to cause, getting really frustrated……..please help

nashgirl21 asked: I am going to make an appt. with my GI doc to see about the option of having a fundoplication (GERD surgery) and I’m trying to get a handle on what to expect.
I have tried Zantac, Prilosec (omeprezole), Aciphex and Protonix, but still have acid reflux EVERY day. I’m wondering if there another prescription they will likely want me to try first, or if they’ll likely just go ahead with the tests needed for the surgery? Is there some GERD “miracle drug” I haven’t tried yet??
