For the past 6 months, I’ve been experiencing sudden palpitation and an unexplained “shooting pain” in my chest when I slip into sleep. I jump up from bed and I’m scared to try to sleep again down. If I sit up in bed it’s fine. Doctor tested me for Heart related problems ( Did ECG 5 times ) tested for Haitus Hernia, did endoscopy, and concluded that I have GERD. He put me on GERD medicine, and asked me to take food 3 hours before going to bed. That cured it. But when I stopped my medicine after 6 months it has started all over again. Is this really GERD? I don’t feel acid coming up in mouth ( I used to experience that years ago, but not now) Pls help.
I was treated with Proton Pump Inhibitor medicine. Lanzol ( Lansoprazole)
