My 7 week old son has been a spit upper since he was born, and I just thought it was normal baby spit up, but latley its quite a bit and sometimes forceful, for instance he just had a 4 ounce bottle, i burped him after the first ounce and he spit most of that up, then after the second ounce he burped and spit most of that up, then he finished the bottle, fine no spit up and went to sleep. He’s on soy formula because he can’t digest the milk protein in reg formula, and also has colic, which is getting better. he’s very hard to get to sleep, and some nights i have to walk him for a half hour or more. I’m just thinking maybe he has gerd, and i’ve researched it, but just wondering what wroked for your reflux babies, and how they acted. Hopefully the doc figures this out today because i’m completely exhausted from lack of sleep with him.
yes he was diagnose with milk protein allergy by a docotor, since he was vomiting and having watery diarhea, and the diarhea stopped as sson as he switched to soy, and just to be sure, we tried milk formula again a few weeks ago and the diarhea came back, it stopped again as soon as he went to soy. also for the spitting up, I’ve tried everything, feeding him upright, propping him up, and he still spits up.
